Spinotarsus colosseus View in CoL — Ramanathan & Alagesan, 2012a: 55, 56 (R); Alagesan & Ramanathan, 2013: 1, 2 (R); Kondepudi et al., 2015: 404 (R). “Alagarmalai Hills (10º0’– 10º30’N, 75º55’– 78º20’E)”; “Alagar Hills Reserve Forest, Tamil Nadu”; “Kanyakumari (8°14’23.10”N, 77°20’04.02”E), Tamil Nadu”. Remarks: Spinotarsus colosseus View in CoL is endemic to southern Africa ( Hamer 1998) and absent from India. Regrettably, the published pictures only obscure its true identity, and the family, genus and species are deleted from the Indian fauna.
