Remark: The Indian records and Krishnan’s (1968) redescription and assignment to Thyropygus , which lacked male characters, are certainly erroneous, because this species is only known from Vietnam and presently referred to as Alienostreptus alienus (cf. Jeekel 2006, Pimvichai et al. 2010).
