Siobla nigricruris Lee & Ryu, 1996: 25 . Ƥ, type locality: Pyochungsa, Gyongsangnam–do ( Korea).
Redescription. Holotype: Ƥ. Length, 13.5 mm ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 e, 6a). Body metallic blue with labrum, most of palpi, apical margin of each coxa, hind trochanter, apical 1/5 of fore and middle femora, fore and middle tibiae and tarsi, and hind tarsus yellowish brown, base of hind tibia pale brown, fore and middle trochanters, posterior of each femur and most of hind tibia blackish brown with feeble metallic luster; apical 4 antennomeres and apical margin of 5th antennomere yellow; forewing light yellowish hyaline and infuscated at apical 1/3, most of vein C pale brown, blackish brown towards apex, stigma brown, other veins blackish brown, cell C yellow; hind wing slightly infuscated at apex. Hairs on dorsum of head and thorax brown, hairs on pleuron pale brown.
Most of temple with sparse and fine punctures and distinct shiny interspaces; frons and postocellar area densely and coarsely punctured ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 m); thorax densely punctured, lateral sides of prescutum moderately punctured; mesoscutellum and metascutellum densely and coarsely punctured, posttergite shiny with lateral sides microsculptured; upper half of mesepisternum densely punctured and microsculptured, lower half with sparse punctures, interspaces shiny; mesepimeron densely microsculpted with upper margin coarsely and densely punctured; metepisternum shiny with dorsum densely punctured; middle of metepimeron densely microsculptured, dorsum coarsely punctured and posterior corner shiny; 1st abdominal tergite shiny, other tergites densely microsculptured.
Hairs on dorsum of head straight, slightly shorter than transverse diameter of median ocellus; hairs on mesepisternum curved, longer than transverse diameter of median ocellus; hairs on mesoscutellum equal to transverse diameter of median ocellus. Anterior margin of clypeus nearly truncate ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 n); malar space equal to transverse diameter of median ocellus; lower interocular distance as long as eye height; anterior margin of supraantennal tubercle weakly elevated; middle fovea deep and broad, lateral fovea deep, pit like; interocellar furrow narrow and deep, postocellar furrow broad and shallow; postocellar area elevated, slightly higher than top of ocelli, without middle carina, about 1.7 × as broad as long; lateral furrows narrow, slightly curved outwards, parallel posteriorly; head behind eyes 0.7 × eyes in length in dorsal view, slightly convex in middle and narrowing posteriorly. Antenna subequal to abdomen and 1.2 × head and thorax combined in length. Mesoscutellum roundly elevated ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 o), posterior slope with an obscure middle carina; metascutellum with a fine middle carina; mesepisternum weakly elevated with a short but obvious ventral spur. Metabasitarsus 4.2 × as long as broad, 1.2 × length of remaining 3 tarsomeres combined; hind inner tibial spur 0.5 × length of metabasitarsus. Hind wing with petiole of anal cell equal to half length of cu-a. Ovipositor sheath abnormal. Lancet as in Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 d, apical and 4th to 6th serrulae as in Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 d.
Male (not examined): “Familiar to female, except apex of femorae, base of tibiae reddish brown; a lower of 6th, 7th–9th antennomeres yellow; hypopygium round (fig. 39).” ( Lee & Ryu 1996: 26), picture (fig. 178) in Lee et al., 2000.
Specimens examined. Holotype: Ƥ, labels as Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 e. (YUK)
Distribution. Korea (South).
Remarks. Siobla nigricruris was described by Lee & Ryu (1996) based on one female and three males. Siobla nigricruris is is similar to S. foveata , see above key for differences between the two species. Siobla nigricruris is also similar to S. leucotarsis , see remarks there.
