Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from others by the following combination of characters. Frons smooth or smooth-weakly striate. Clypeus strongly rugose. Lateral and median mesoscutal lobes black or mostly dark brown, or brown. Mesoscutum medially costate-weakly rugose. Mesopleuron mostly coriaceous or costate dorsally, coriaceous-smooth medially and coriaceous ventrally.

Description female. Body length: 3.10 mm.

Color. Head mainly honey yellow-dark brown. Eye orbits honey yellow. Malar space honey yellow. Palpi pale yellow. Periocellar area dark brown-black. Scape honey yellow. Pedicel honey yellow with a longitudinal brown stripe. Flagellum with apically yellow annulus composed of 9 flagellomeres. Flagellomeres before annuli dark brown. Mesosoma mainly dark brown-black. Lateral mesoscutal lobes black. Median mesoscutal lobe dark brownblack. Venter of mesosoma black. Pronotum dark brown. Propodeum black. First tergum dark brown. Second tergum light brown. Third tergum brown with apical margin yellow. Fourth tergum yellow to light brown. Fifth tergum yellow to light brown. Sixth tergum light brown. Remaining terga light brown except the last one, which is yellow. Fore and middle femur yellow at apex and base with light brown apically. Fore and middle tibia honey yellow. Hind coxa brown, apical yellow. Hind trochanter pale yellow. Hind trochantellus pale yellow, brown at apex. Hind femur brown, with yellow at apex and base. Hind tibia pale yellow basally, light brown apically. Hind tarsi yellow. Wings lightly dusky. Veins mainly light brown. Tegula yellow. Stigma white-light brown.

Head. Clypeus strongly rugose. Head 0.80 x higher than wide. Face weakly transversely costate. Face minimum width/maximum width ratio 0.88. Frons smooth. Vertex transversely striate-smooth. Eye 1.20 x higher than wide. Ocell-ocular distance twice diameter of lateral ocellus. Malar space 0.39 x eye height in lateral view. Temple/eye length ratio in dorsal view 0.50. Temple narrow. Supraclypeal area 0.60 x head height in frontal view. Gena-temple area smooth. Scape 0.70 x first flagellomere length. Flagellomeres 25.

Mesosoma. Pronotum costate-coriaceous laterally and rugose-rugulose ventrally. Pronotal groove distinct. Pronotal groove laterally weakly scrobiculate-smooth. Propleuron weakly rugose-smooth. Mesoscutal lobes coriaceous. Notauli weakly scrobiculate, reaching the end of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum medially costate-weakly rugose. Scutellum (scutellar disc) weakly coriaceous-smooth. Subalar groove distinct and scrobiculate. Precoxal sulcus narrow, weakly scrobiculate; length 0.77 mesopleuron length. Mesopleuron weakly costate dorsally, coriaceous-smooth medially and coriaceous ventrally. Venter of mesosoma weakly coriaceous. Metapleuron rugose. Propodeum rugose. Propodeum with a median, longitudinal and complete carina. Propodeal apico-lateral corners absent. Propodeal spine or tooth over hind coxa absent.

Wings: fore wing. 2RS/2M ratio 0.44. Vein m-cu meeting vein RS+Ma distinctly before vein 2RS. Vein (RS+M)b distinct. Vein (RS+M)b/2RS ratio 0.42. Vein r 0.30 length of vein 3 RSa. Vein 1cu-a interstitial to vein 1M. Hind wing. Vein M+CU/1M ratio 0.68. Vein m-cu nebulous. Vein cu-a 0.18 length of 1M. Vein r-m/1M ratio 0.30. Vein SC+R complete.

Legs. Hind coxa dorsally costate-rugose. Ventral part of hind coxa rugose. Hind coxa without basoventral tubercle. Hind coxa 0.40 length of hind femur. Femora without a rounded protrusion in dorso-medial view. Hind femur in dorsal view very weakly coriaceous-smooth.

Metasoma. Basal sternal plate length/first tergum length ratio 0.63. First tergum 2.38 x longer than apical width. First tergum rugose on basal three fourths, costate-smooth on apical fourth. Second tergum weakly costate at extreme base, remainder of terga smooth and polished. Third tergum smooth and polished. Suture between second and third tergum absent. Fourth tergum and remainder of terga smooth and polished. Ovipositor 1.10 mm long. Ovipositor 0.50 x length of metasoma. Ovipositor 0.98 x length of first tergum.

Variation with respect to holotype. Female. Body length: 3.10–3.65 mm. Color. Head mainly yellow-dark brown. Malar space pale yellow. Eye orbits yellow. Palpi white. Scape yellow with a weakly longitudinal light brown stripe, or honey with a longitudinal brown stripe. Pedicel honey with a longitudinal brown stripe, or yellow with a longitudinal dark brown stripe. Flagellomeres before annuli brown to dark brown. Lateral mesoscutal lobes dark brown with honey laterally line. Median mesoscutal lobe black, or brown-honey yellow. Venter of mesosoma dark brown. First tergum black-brown. Second tergum brown, yellow apically. Third tergum yellow basomedially and apically with a transversal brown stripe. Fourth tergum yellow-brown, or brown with a transversal honey yellow stripe. Fifth tergum brown with a transversal honey yellow stripe, or brown-yellow. Sixth tergum brownyellow. Fore and middle femur honey yellow. Fore and middle tibia yellow. Hind coxa dark brown with yellow apically. Hind trochantellus yellow. Hind femur brown, with honey at apex and base. Hind tarsi brown, or honey. Wings dusky. Veins mainly brown. Tegula honey. Stigma dark brown, or white-brown.

Head. Face transversely costate. Face minimum width/maximum width ratio 0.88–0.92. Frons smooth-weakly striate. Vertex transversely striate. Eye 1.19–1.25 x higher than wide. Ocell-ocular distance twice diameter of lateral ocellus, or three diameter of lateral ocellus. Malar space 0.35–0.39 x eye height in lateral view. Temple/eye length ratio in dorsal view 0.47–0.50. Supraclypeal area 0.40–0.60 x head height in frontal view. Scape 0.53–0.73 x first flagellomere length. Flagellomeres 25–27.

Mesosoma. Pronotal groove laterally scrobiculate-smooth. Propleuron weakly rugose-weakly coriaceoussmooth at apex, or coriaceous, smooth at apex. Scutellum (scutellar disc) weakly coriaceous. Precoxal sulcus broad, weakly scrobiculate. Precoxal sulcus length 0.51–0.80 mesopleuron length. Mesopleuron costate dorsally, costate-coriaceous medially and coriaceous ventrally, or costate dorsally, coriaceous-smooth medially and coriaceous ventrally. Venter of mesosoma coriaceous. Propodeum without a median, longitudinal and complete carina.

Wings: fore wing. Vein m-cu meeting vein RS+Ma before vein 2RS. Vein (RS+M)b/2RS ratio 0.12–0.42. Vein r 0.20–0.30 length of vein 3 RSa. Vein 1cu-a slightly postfurcal to vein 1M, or interstitial with or slightly antefurcal to vein 1M. Hind wing. Vein M+CU/1M ratio 0.50–0.68. Vein cu-a 0.11–0.18 length of 1M. Vein r-m/ 1M ratio 0.22–0.30.

Legs. Hind coxa 0.38–0.50 length of hind femur. Hind femur in dorsal view striate, or weakly striate-weakly coriaceous.

Metasoma. Basal sternal plate length/first tergum length ratio 0.53–0.72. First tergum 2.00–3.00 x longer than apical width. Second tergum costate at base, remainder of terga smooth and polished. Ovipositor 1.10–2.00 mm long. Ovipositor 0.50–1.00 x length of metasoma. Ovipositor 0.98–2.70 x length of first tergum.

Etymology. The name of this species refers to PNN La Paya, the place in Colombia where this new species was collected.
