Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from others by the following combination of characters. Face transversely costate laterally, median area finely coriaceous-weakly rugose. Clypeus mostly smooth. Flagellum without annulus. Flagellomeres honey to brown. Pronotum weakly rugose laterally and rugose ventrally. Metapleuron weakly rugose, rugose-areolate. Fore wing vein 1cu-a antefurcal to vein 1M. Vein 2cu-a resembling an incomplete line, but never completely tubular. Hind wing vein m-cu tubular. Femora with a rounded protrusion in dorso-medial view. Second metasomal tergum costulate-rugulose and brown with apical margin yellow.

Description female. Body length: 7.00 mm.

Color. Head mainly honey yellow-honey. Eye orbits honey-honey yellow. Malar space honey. Palpi pale yellow. Periocellar area honey yellow. Scape yellow with a longitudinal brown stripe. Pedicel yellow with a wide longitudinal brown stripe. Flagellum without annulus. Flagellomeres honey to brown. Mesosoma mainly dark brown-honey. Lateral mesoscutal lobes honey. Median mesoscutal lobe honey yellow. Venter of mesosoma honey yellow. Pronotum honey to dark brown. Propodeum honey to dark brown. First tergum dark brown. Second tergum brown with apical margin yellow. Third tergum yellow with apical margin brown. Fourth tergum honey yellowdark brown. Fifth tergum honey yellow-dark brown. Sixth tergum honey yellow. Remaining terga yellow-brown except the last one, which is pale yellow. Fore and middle femur pale yellow with a transverse light brown stripe apically. Fore and middle tibia honey yellow. Hind coxa yellow. Hind trochanter yellow. Hind trochantellus yellow with at apex brown. Hind femur yellow basally, brown apically. Hind tibia pale yellow basally, and the remaining honey-dark brown. Hind tarsi honey. Wings dusky. Veins mainly brown. Tegula yellow. Stigma yellow-dark brown.

Head. Clypeus mostly smooth. Head 0.80 x higher than wide. Face transversely costate laterally, median area finely coriaceous-weakly rugose. Face minimum width/maximum width ratio 0.90. Frons rugose-costate. Vertex mostly rugose-costate. Eye 1.26 x higher than wide. Ocell-ocular distance twice diameter of lateral ocellus. Malar space 0.38 x eye height in lateral view. Temple/eye length ratio in dorsal view 0.64. Temple swollen behind eye and narrow. Supraclypeal area 0.40 x head height in frontal view. Gena-temple area smooth-weakly costate. Scape 0.60 x first flagellomere length. Flagellomeres 36.

Mesosoma. Pronotum weakly rugose laterally and rugose ventrally. Pronotal groove distinct. Pronotal groove laterally scrobiculate-smooth. Propleuron with scrobiculate area, weakly coriaceous-weakly rugose, smooth ventrally. Mesoscutal lobes strongly costate-rugose along lateral edges, coriaceous medially. Notauli scrobiculate, not reaching the end of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum medially strongly rugose. Scutellum (scutellar disc) coriaceous. Subalar groove distinct and costate-weakly rugose-coriaceous. Precoxal sulcus narrow, deep and scrobiculate; length 0.81 mesopleuron length. Mesopleuron weakly costate-coriaceous dorsally, coriaceous-with one carinaweakly rugose medially and coriaceous- ventrally. Venter of mesosoma weakly coriaceous. Metapleuron weakly rugose, rugose-areolate. Propodeum coriaceous-rugulose-rugose with two sublateral, longitudinal and complete carinae, and without a median, longitudinal and complete carinae. Propodeal apico-lateral corners absent. Propodeal spine or tooth over hind coxa absent.

Wings: fore wing. 2RS/2M ratio 0.42. Vein m-cu meeting vein RS+Ma before vein 2RS. Vein (RS+M)b distinct. Vein (RS+M)b/2RS ratio 0.16. Vein r 0.20 length of vein 3 RSa. Vein 1cu-a antefurcal to vein 1M. Vein 2cu-a resembling an incomplete line, but never completely tubular. Hind wing. Vein M+CU/1M ratio 0.41. Vein m-cu tubular. Vein cu-a 0.10 length of 1M. Vein r-m/1M ratio 0.21. Vein SC+R complete.

Legs. Hind coxa dorsally costate-rugose. Ventral part of hind coxa rugose. Hind coxa without basoventral tubercle. Hind coxa 0.60 length of hind femur. Femora with a rounded protrusion in dorso-medial view. Hind femur in dorsal view granulate.

Metasoma. Basal sternal plate length/first tergum length ratio 0.69. First tergum 4.40 x longer than apical width. First tergum costulate-rugulose. Second tergum costulate-rugulose. Third tergum finely costulate-rugulose on basal half, smooth on apical half. Suture between second and third tergum present. Suture between second and third tergum strong. Suture between second and third tergum straight. Fourth tergum very weakly coriaceoussmooth basally, remainder of terga smooth. Ovipositor 7.50 mm long. Ovipositor 1.85 x length of metasoma. Ovipositor 4.40 x length of first tergum.

Material examined. Holotype female (IAvH). Colombia, Magdalena-PNN Santa Marta San Lorenzo, 10º48'N 73º39'W, 2200m. Malaise 15–30.i.2001.J Cantillo Leg. IAvH-E 113993. Etymology. The name of this species refers to Magdalena, the department in Colombia where this new species was collected.
