Notes.
Barnebya comprises two currently accepted species (one threatened species; Suppl. material 1) of large trees endemic to non-flooded forests of the Atlantic rainforest and Caatinga biomes in Brazil, South America ( Almeida et al. 2020; POWO 2024).
