Global distribution. Western Atlantic : Florida Keys ( USA), Greater Antilles , Virgin Islands and Lesser Antilles, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, to Venezuela.

Records in Cuba. Gulf of Batabanó (Juan García Cay) ( Martínez-Iglesias & Alcolado 1990); Mayabeque (Boca Canasí), by error identified as Neopisosoma curacaoense by Barro et al. (2013).
