External morphology. General color as in disintegrans except more orange than brown with similar dark yellow patterns on forewings.Head narrower than pronotum, more so than in disintegrans , anterior margin less rounded than in disintegrans ; crown narrow, produced beyond anterior margin of eyes, lateral margins prominently carinate; eyes large, semiglobular; pronotum large, about as long as median length of crown, surface smooth; mesonotum large, about twice as long as median length of pronotum; forewings long, narrow, venation as in genus; clypeus long, narrow with distinct longitudinal carina, lateral margins broadly convex; clypellus very short, about ¼ as long as clypeus.

Material examined. Holotype female. Type/1839/ Coelidia costalis [printed on top of label], Coelidia atra [printed on bottom of same label] [Original description agrees with name on top of label].
Remarks. This species was cited as a senior synonym of Coelidia disintegrans Walker based on similar color patterns ( Nielson 1979: 323). Distinction between these species is given under the remarks section of disintegrans above. The female type specimen was also compared with the female specimens of the same Paracarinolidia species cited under disintegrans .
