(2010), this species may be separated from other species of Sarax in Southeast Asia and Oceania by the following combination of characters: medium-sized with adult body length about 8.8–11.8 mm; frontal process triangular ( Fig. 131C View Fig ); tritosternum projected anteriorly ( Fig. 131B View Fig ). Female gonopod plunger-like ( Fig. 132A, C–D, G View Fig ) with bulging area on posteriormost region of genital operculum ( Fig. 132A–C View Fig ); slit sensilla laterally on genital operculum ( Fig. 132E View Fig ); deep invagination posteriomedially on genital operculum ( Fig. 132E View Fig ). Male gonopod triangular ( Fig. 133C View Fig ), with dorsal lobe and LoL1 denticulate ( Fig. 133E–F View Fig ); LoL2 fimbriate and short ( Fig. 133D View Fig ); inner surface of fistula smooth ( Fig. 133G View Fig ). Secondary sexual dimorphism, male with long, slender pedipalp whereas female pedipalp shorter and stouter; pedipalp femur with three dorsal spines and three ventral spines ( Fig. 131E–F View Fig ); pedipalp patella with four dorsal spines ( Fig. 131E View Fig ); pedipalp tarsus with three dorsal spines in adults ( Fig. 131D View Fig ); juveniles with two spines on pedipalp tarsus; rod sensilla in deep groove with five setae ( Fig. 134B, D View Fig ); tarsal organ close to basis of claw ( Fig. 134A–B, E View Fig ); leg IV tibia with 19 trichobothria and trichobothrium bc much closer to sbf than to bf; leg IV with trichobothrium bt situated near distal margin of fourth article.
