Conservation: IUCN 2003 Lower Risk (lc) as Arielulus circumdatus ; IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Pipistrellus circumdatus .
Discussion: Heller and Volleth (1984) included this taxon in societatis , but see Hill and Francis (1984) and Corbet and Hill (1992).
