Description of Erythrobacter citreus IMCC View in CoL 19253

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, entire, convex, smooth, and yellow colored after 5 days on R2A agar at 25°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and urease and arginine dihydrolase activities. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, and β - galactosidase and gelatinase activities. D-Glucose, Dmannitol, adipic acid, trisodium citrate, and potassium gluconate are utilized. Does not utilize L-arabinose, N - acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose D-mannose, capric acid, malic acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain IMCC19253 (= NIBRBA0000114259) was isolated from a freshwater sample, Chuncheon, Korea.
