Nearly glabrous to moderately villous perennial with numerous nonflowering shoots. Flowering stems erect or ascending, leafless above. Leaves linear-oblong to linear-oblanceolate, not undulate, nearly entire; margin thin, not or weakly papillose. Outer involucrai bracts numerous, ovate to triangular, cibate near the base, deeply toothed; teeth aristate. Calyx-teeth subulate, green, glabrous. Corolla blue. 2л =12, 24. • W. & W.C.
