Type Locality: Solomon Isls, Malaita Isl.

Vernacular Names: Malaita Tube-nosed Fruit Bat.

Distribution: Malaita and Makira Isls (Solomon Isls).

Conservation: IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) – No Data: Limited Distribution. IUCN 2003 – Vulnerable.

Discussion: albiventer species group. Possibly a synonym of vizcaccia ; see Flannery (1995 b) but note that he used the name bougainville for the latter taxon.
