Notes

Cup-shaped sponge with a smooth, velvety surface. Up to 22 cm across; however, the majority ~ 10 cm. The funnel-shaped cup is anchored to the substrate with a short, stubby stem. Texture hard. Colour whitish to pale yellow (Fig. 171).
