Description of Zobellia amurskyensis WSW-MO View in CoL 2
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated, nonpigmented and rodshaped. Colonies are circular, convex, glistening and orangecolored after 3 days on MA at 25°C. Positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis and β galactosidase in API 20NE, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase. Does not utilize Dglucose, Larabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain WSWMO2 (= NIBRBA0000114007) has been isolated from a seawater sample, Wando, Korea.
