Myosorex okuensis Heim de Balsac 1968 , Bonn. Zool. Beitr., Vol. 19: 20.

Type Locality: Cameroon, Bamenda Highlands, Mt. Oku, Lake Oku, 2100 m.

Vernacular Names: Oku Mouse Shrew.

Distribution: Forested mountains of the Bamenda plateau, Cameroon (Lake Manenguba, Mt. Oku, Mt. Lefo).

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Formerly included in eisentrauti (see Heim de Balsac and Meester, 1977), but cranially very distinct.
