Etymology.

Orgilus johnpipolyi is named in honor of John Pipoly attending the international NSF-funded planning meeting for the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI) of Terrestrial Systems, and contributing his wisdom to the planning that was the founding of Costa Rica’s national BioAlfa today.
