Records from Myanmar: Reef Island (Tavoy); Mount Mooleyit, 1,800–1,900 m; the village of Puepoli, Carin Chebà, 900– 1,000 m; Carin Chebà (Bia-Po); Thagata at the foot of Mount Mooleyit; Palon in Pegu; Kokareet (Tenasserim) ( Pocock 1895); Thingannyinaung-Myawadi, ca 900 feet; Tavoy, Lower Burma; hills dividing Burma from Siam ( Attems 1936). Based on a large number of syntypes of both sexes, in the London Museum ( Pocock 1895). Revised from non-type material by Jeekel (1970) and Likhitrakarn et al. (2011).

Remark. Also found in Thailand ( Enghoff 2005; Decker 2010, Likhitrakarn et al. 2011).

This species is widespread in northern and northwestern Thailand and in the adjacent parts of Myanmar ( Likhitrakarn et al. 2011).
