Records from Myanmar: Tenasserim ( Karsch 1881); Malewoon ( Pocock 1893; Demange 1961); Mergui: Sullivan Island ( Pocock 1889); Mergui: Elphinstone Island ( Pocock 1889). Originally based on the male holotype from Tenasserim, kept in the Berlin Museum ( Karsch 1881). Jeekel (2001c) referred T. andersoni , which is based on an indefinite number of male and female syntypes, all in the London Museum, to Spirobolida or Juliformia of uncertain position. Pimvichai et al. (2009), in contrast to Demange (1961), questioned the status of Spirostreptus andersoni and considered it as possibly a nomen nudum.

Remark. This species has recently been redescribed by Pimvichai et al. (2009, 2016).
