Observations. ARGENTINA • Multiple; Corrientes, La Cruz, Paraje Tres Cerros; 29°06′25′′S, 056°55′32′′W. Re- corded in groups in open areas GoogleMaps .
Identification. Similar to male M. bonariensis (Gmelin, 1789) but with a shorter bill and less violet gloss, and not sexually dimorphic.
