Ugandana bayoni ( Schmidt, 1911) View in CoL
(figs 48, 49)
Afronaso bayoni Schmidt, 1911: 255 View in CoL
Ugandana fennahi Dlabola, 1987: 85 View in CoL , figs 5,6, syn. n.
Material examined. Uganda: Ƥ, holotype of Afronaso bayoni, Bussu Busoga, 1909 , Dre. E. Bayon ( MSNG). Gabon: 1Ƥ, N’Toum, VIII.1984, orchard, A. Pauly ( IRSNB).
Note. The synonymy is based on comparison of the holotype of A. bayoni with the photo of the holotype of U. fennahi , deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest, Hungary). The specimen from Gabon (figs 48, 49) differs from the holotype of A. bayoni by wider body and coloration of abdominal tergites, but we prefer to treat these differences as intraspecific variability rather than describe a new species based on a single female. Until now the species was known from D.R. Congo, Ghana, Republic of the Congo, and Uganda ( Schmidt, 1911; Synave, 1963; Dlabola, 1987).
