Fern.Casas, Fontqueria View in CoL 55: 275 (2005).— Jatropha pavoniana Müll.Arg., Linnaea View in CoL 34: 210 (1865).— Jatropha peruviana Müll.Arg. in DC., Prodr. 15(2): 1096 (1866), nom. illeg. superfl.— Cnidoscolus peruvianus (Müll.Arg.) Pax & K.Hoffm., Nat. Pflanzenfam. ed. 2, 19c: 166 (1931).— Cnidoscolus peruvianus (Müll.Arg.) J.F.Macbr., Publ. Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Bot. Ser. 13(3a/1): 166 (1951), comb. superfl. Pax & Hoffmann (1931) had previously suggested the same new combination for this species. Type:— PERU. Lima: Acotama, without locality, without date, J.A. Pavón s.n. (holotype G).

Distribution:— Peru.

Notes:— Müller (1866) erred when he listed the name of this species as Jatropha peruviana instead of Jatropha pavoniana . The citation he provides is that of J. pavoniana and the actual text given and type provided is the same.
