Taxonomic remarks. Storena annulipes Thorell was originally placed in Storena and preoccupied with S. annulipes (L. Koch, 1867) . Mallinella annulipes nom. nov. is here removed from its replacement name with S. cinctipes Simon 1893 .
Diagnosis. Mallinella annulipes nom. nov. can be recognized by the color of the legs ( Fig. 103 View FIGURES 100–103. 100 ) which are provided with broad, dark brown distal and proximal annulations on femora and tibiae [hence the replacement specific epithet cinctipes (= banded legs) was proposed by Simon], in combination with an elevated dorsal hump on femora I–III in males. The male of this species is described by the first time. Males can be distinguished by the apically bifid embolus ( Fig. 739 View FIGURES 739–747. 739–742 ) and the banded legs; females by the narrowed, V-shaped epigynal plate and by the digitiform lateral borders projecting inwards ( Fig. 733 View FIGURES 732–738. 732 ).
