Distribution

Palearctic species ( Lupi et al. 2006). In Italy, the species is widespread ( Ruffo and Stoch 2005).

Notes

It is a saprophilous species widespread from the plains to middle altitude elevations (1000 m). It is a very common predator and it is found mostly in decaying vegetable matter ( Lupi et al. 2006).
