Bembidion perspicuum LeConte, 1848 View in CoL
Ochthedromus perspicuus LeConte, 1848: 466 View in CoL . Type locality “ Rocky Mountains ”. Holotype male, in MCZ (type number 5510), external structure and aedeagus examined.
Bembidion acomanum Casey, 1918: 59 View in CoL . Type locality Jemez Springs, New Mexico, so restricted by Lindroth (1975). Lectotype female, designated by Lindroth (1975), in USNM (type number 36916), examined.
Bembidion excursum Casey, 1918: 59 View in CoL . Type locality Tucson , Arizona. Holotype female, in USNM (type 36915), examined.
This species is known from Texas, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, and Oregon. Its range in México has not been examined. Specimens from northern California and Oregon are dark, with only elytral apices being pale. They are thus very similar in appearance to paler specimens of Bembidion lugubre View in CoL , from which they are most readily distinguished by genitalic characters.
