1. Genus Heterogamodes Chopard, 1929 View in CoL

Type species. Heterogamia ursina Burmeister, 1838 .

Definition. Among the Palaearctic genera of Corydiinae having no apical spine on the femora of the frontleg well characterised by the subgenital plate with the posterior half densely covered with strong bristles. In the two subgenera Heterogamodes and Heterogamisca the posterior half of the plate is additionally strongly, almost uprightly bent dorsad. The bending is in left half of the plate stronger than at the right and especially well visible in dried specimens. In the subgenus Atuberculoblatta the posterior half of the plate, though similarly covered with strong bristles, does not show such a bending.

( Nymphrytria (Nymphrytria) mirabilis has an in some respects similar subgenital plate, but claws, tibia armament and right phallomere are very different).

Characters. Wings: fully developed or slightly shortened, tegmina without subcosta lobe.—Femur armament: frontfemur without apical spine, mid- and hindfemur with or without apical spine.—Tibia armament: [1.8.0][7.7.1 or 6.8.1. or 6.8.0][n.7.n].—Tarsal arolia: absent.—Subgenital plate: posterior half covered with strong bristles, posterior border with a shallow asymmetrical concavity, styli absent.—Right phallomere: Type 1 or 1/2.—Supraanal plate: very short, posterior border slightly convex or straight ( Fig. 15C View FIGURE 15 ).—Cercal tricholiths:>5 per anulus ( Fig. 19B View FIGURE 19 ).

Subgenera. Heterogamodes , Heterogamisca , and Atuberculoblatta .
