Genus diagnosis
(emended after Jensen 1992). Genus characterized by a truncate and flattened body shape, flat head, and enrolled rhinophores. Small admedian eyes. Parapodia folded up on the dorsal body surface, parapodial lamellae containing branches of the digestive gland, dorsal vessels absent. Anterodorsal anus. Long curved penial stylet.
