Hosts and distribution. Birds of the family Traupidae ( Passeriformes ) in South America: Tangara cayana (Linnaeus) [type host] from Brazil ( Bochkov & Literak 2011), Thraupis episcopus (Linnaeus) from Peru ( Literak et al. 2012), and Paroaria capitata (d´Orbigny and Lafresnaye) from Paraguay ( Literak et al. 2014).
