Torodora macrosigna Gozmány, 1973 View in CoL
( Figs. 6A–H View FIGURE 6 )
Torodora macrosigna Gozmány, 1973: 440 View in CoL ; 1978: 219. TL: Nepal, Bhimpedi. [ZSM]
Diagnosis. Wingspan 15.0 mm. The male genitalia of the new species are similar to those of T. granata Wu, 1994 but it can be distinguished by the more broadly expanded uncus with convex caudal margin and the juxta with larger latero-caudal lobes; and also similar to those of T. pentagona Park, 2002 but the latter has a pentagonal uncus.
Description. The descriptions of the venation and the male genitalia are given for the first time. Venation: Forewing venation with R 1 arising from middle; distance between R 2 and R 3 about half of R 1 –R 2; R 3 stalked with R 4+5 for about 2/5 length; R 4 and R 5 stalked for basal 2/3; R 5 to termen; M 2 close to M 3 at base; CuA 1 and CuA 2 stalked for basal 1/3; cell closed; hind wing venation with M 3 and CuA 1 short-stalked.
Male genitalia ( Figs. 6E, F View FIGURE 6 ): Uncus broad, fan-shaped with round caudal margin. Median process of gnathos nearly parallel sided in basal half, strongly bent downward beyond middle. Tegumen weakly sclerotized, inverted V-shaped on anterior margin. Valva broad at base; costa concave medially and ventral margin also concave medially; cucullus slightly longer than basal part of valva, with rounded outer margin, dense setose; sacculus broad, weakly sclerotized, short, not extended to lower corner of cucullus. Vinculum banded, heavily sclerotized. Juxta shield-shaped, with ring-shaped latero-caudal processes, with a median ridge below middle, convex at middle on anterior margin. Aedeagus stout, shorter than valva, broad basally; cornuti consisting of two bundles of spines, with 2–3 spines each.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 6G View FIGURE 6 ). See also Gozmány (1978, Taf. 83, Fig. 144)
