argyropa ( Schiner), 1868 View in CoL : 337 (Dejeania). Type locality: “South America ” [ Venezuela].?STs M (NHMW). Distr.: Colombia and Ecuador ( Sabrosky, 1947: 148, Curran 1941: 4). Refs.: Curran, 1941: 4 (redesc., key); Guimarães, 1971a: 53 (cat.). Comm.: According to the NHMW curator Peter Sehnal (unpublished data), there are three males from Venezuela collected by Lindig and dated 1864, which can be doubtfully considered as syntypes.
