Mycophila fungicola Felt, 1911

Mycophila fungicola  has a scattered distribution in the Holarctic region and was found also in the Hawaiian Islands, Australia, and New Zealand ( Gagné & Jaschhof 2014). Most findings of this—and the following—species are from mushroom cultures ( Jaschhof 1998). Previous scientific literature makes no mention of Mycophila  occurring in Sweden. The Swedish specimen of M. fungicola  reported here was taken from the wild.
