In Serbia, L. boscii is reported from only a few localities in the western part of the country, south of the Sava and Danube rivers ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ), where they are locally present in large numbers. Although the IUCN Red List reports that the species is present in eastern Serbia ( Hochkirch et al. 2016) based on one female, further morphological analyses proved that this specimen belongs to L. discoidalis . The species inhabits wet meadows with tall vegetation in shady places, mostly on forest edges.
The adults appear between July and September.
