Leptophyes albovittata (Kollar, 1833) View in CoL

It is the most common species of this genus in Serbia, present from lowlands to the high mountains ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ). In the northern part of the country, it occurs in lowland dry steppe areas, while on Fruška Gora Mt., Vršac Mts., and the rest of the country, it inhabits meadows with tall vegetation, steppe meadows, as well as forest clearings where it can be usually found sitting on the flowers. It also occurs in ruderal areas overgrown by allochthonous and invasive herbaceous plants, as well as gardens.

The adults appear between June and September.
