Remarks.

Pfeiffer (1842 [1841-1846]) introduced this name as replacement for Bulinus inflatus Broderip, 1838 not Bulimus inflatus Lamarck, 1822 [which is a homonym of Bulimus inflatus Olivier, 1801; see Kendrick and Wilson 1975: 307]. Pfeiffer (1848) gave as locality "juxta Ambo Peruviae" and gave as measurements "Long. 23, diam. 12 mill.".
