Agrion splendens cretense (Pongracz, 1911) .

Calopteryx splendens var. cretensis Pongracz, 191 1, Ann. hist.-nut. Mus. hung. 9:324. CRETE: Herakleion, Knossos.

This form is, from the very brief description, of doubtful validity; I assume, from the lack of any other indication in the description, that i t might be referred to the subspecies xanthostoma .
