Scaptomyza ( Elmomyza) cyrtandrae View in CoL species group
Diagnosis. Species placed in the cyrtandrae group are associated with native Cyrtandra spp. ( Gesneriaceae ) as both feeding and breeding sites ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). These taxa have 4 rows of acrostichal setae on the mesonotum and pale-yellow bodies ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 ) that darken progressively ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ) with age ( Burgunder et al. 2022).
