Type Locality: "...1500 meters elevation, Gunong Tanke Salokko, 'Mengkoka Geb.' [Mekongqa Gebirgte], in the southeastern peninsula of Celebes, latitude 3° 40' S., longitude 121° 13' E.," [Sulawesi, Indonesia]. GoogleMaps

Vernacular Names: Secretive Dwarf Squirrel.

Synonyms: Prosciurillus obscurus Moore 1959 .

Distribution: Known only from the type locality in SE Sulawesi.

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Includes obscurus , probably a nomen nudum; see Moore (1959:203).
