Scymnus (Pullus) hubbardi Gordon 1976: 268 . Gordon 1985: 280.
Diagnosis: Length 2.0 to 2.3 mm; width 1.5 to 1.7 mm. Color black, except clypeus, lateral margins of pronotum and posterior margin of elytra yellow to orange; ventral color black, except legs, antennae, mouthparts and last three ventrites yellow to orange. Males with central area of first ventrite scarcely pubescent or punctate, surrounded by abundant pubescence; fifth ventrite emarginate, depressed; sixth ventrite emarginate, depressed, without punctures at central part, with prominent acute lateral angles. Male genitalia with lateral alae and membranous process on penis guide ( Fig. 73 View Figs ); apex of penis guide acute ( Fig. 73 View Figs ); penis with trifurcate apex conspicuously wider than rest of penis ( Fig. 74 View Figs ).
Material Examined: Ten specimens ( FIC, CIUM) . HIDALGO: (1♂) Huejutla ( FIC) . MORELOS: (2♂) Cuernavaca ( CIUM) . TAMAULIPAS: (1♂) Gómez Farias ( FIC), (6♂) Reserva de la Biosfera “El Cielo” ( FIC) . VERACRUZ: (1♂) Xalapa ( CIUM) .
Distribution: North America ( Gordon 1976, 1985). New record for Mexico.
Biology: In Mexico, this species has been collected between 500 and 1,930 m altitude, and in the biomes of oak forest, mesophilic forest and high perennial forest.
