Scymnus (Pullus) ignarus Gordon 1976: 163 . Gordon 1985: 212.

Diagnosis: Length 1.8 to 2.1 mm; width 1.2 to 1.5 mm. Dorsal color black, except clypeus, lateral margins of pronotum and apical margin of elytra yellow to orange; ventral color black, except legs, mouthparts, antennae and last three ventrites yellow to orange. Male first ventrite with area of sparse pubescence and punctation at center; fifth ventrite emarginate; sixth ventrite emarginate, depressed. Male genitalia with lateral alae on penis guide; ventral projection with apex acute, elongate ( Figs. 75, 76 View Figs ).

Distribution: North America ( Gordon 1976, 1985). Confirmed record for Mexico.

Biology: This species has been collected between the altitudes of 300 and 1,930 m.

Discussion: In the bachelor’s degree thesis of García-Coapio (2005), S. huachuca was reported from Michoacán. However, the tegmen illustrated was actually that of S. ignarus (see discussion for S. huachuca ). The specimen cited in the Material Examined section above confirms that S. ignarus occurs in Michoacán.
