Scymnus (Pullus) cerinotum Gordon 2000: 67 .
Diagnosis: Length 1.6 mm; width 1.4 mm. Dorsal color black, except head, anterolateral angles of pronotum and apical margin of elytra yellow; ventral color black, except legs, antennae, mouthparts and last three ventrites yellow. Males with first ventrite unmodified; fifth ventrite with nearly straight posterior margin, only slightly emarginate; sixth ventrite emarginate, depressed, with conspicuous lateral angles. Male genitalia with penis guide wide, apically acute ( Fig. 11 View Figs ); parameres wide; penis robust ( Fig. 12 View Figs ).
Material Examined: A single specimen. (1♂) Hidalgo ( FIC) .
Distribution: South America ( Gordon 2000; González 2015). New record for Mexico.
Biology: This species has been collected on bamboo ( Poaceae ) ( Gordon 2000).
Discussion: The description of Gordon (2000) mentioned that the pronotum of this species is entirely yellow, but the Mexican specimen has the pronotum almost entirely black.
