Diagnosis: antennule article 1 twice longer as article 4; mandibular molar with more than 10 flat setae terminally; cheliped carpus as long as wide; pleonites 2, 3 and 4 without hyposphenia.
Holotype is deposited at Zoological Museum University of Copenhagen (ZMUC CRU-6295); not examined in this study.
Distribution: The species is known only from its type locality, the Sargasso Sea (26°06' N, 57°32' W) at 6000 m depth.
