Chalepus pici View in CoL was previously known from Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama ( Staines 1997). There is no published information on the biology of this species. The host plant is probably a member of Poaceae ( Staines 2002a) View in CoL .
