Signoretia quoinensis View in CoL sp. nov.
Figs 25–28 View FIGURES 16 – 30 , 56, 57 View FIGURES 47 – 65 , 73 View FIGURES 66 – 79 , 91–93 View FIGURES 91 – 97 , 140–150 View FIGURES 140 – 150 .

Crown without median carina, keel on frontoclypeus prominent and projecting slightly more on ventral region. Pronotum with median carina on anterior half, sublateral carinae absent, surface coarsely pitted.
Male genitalia. Pygofer dorsal margin convex and declivous posteriorly, ventral margin concave in middle, anterior margin with well-developed tergal apodemes; ventral process arising at midventral region, with large base, tapering to pointed apex, exceeding dorsal margin of pygofer, its surface with a few microsetae. Valve anterior margin triangularly produced. Subgenital plate triangular, with a few microsetae, three times as long as wide at base. Style with apophysis curved laterally, apex pointed, ventral margin with series of rugae. Connective Y-shaped with stem longer than arms. Aedeagus with ventral process articulated with connective, in lateral view posterior 0.33 curved dorsally and narrowed to pointed apex, in dorsal view stem shorter than arms; shaft with sclerotized pigmented ventral region, rest membranous and unpigmented, dorsal apodeme well developed and bifid, gonopore apical. Female genitalia. Seventh sternite wider than long, abruptly narrowed in posterior 0.25, posterior margin shallowly concave with rounded lateral margins. First and second pair of valvulae as in Figs 91–93 View FIGURES 91 – 97 .
Measurements. Male 5.4 mm long, 1.5 mm wide across eyes and 1.4 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.
Material examined. MALAYSIA: Holotype Ƌ, British N. Borneo: Tawan, Quoin Hill , Cocoa Res. Sta. 25.ix.1962, Y. Hiroshima, light trap, here designated ( BPBM) . Other material. 1 ♀, Sabah: Mt Kinabalu, Mesilau , 14.ii.1964, J. Smart, Royal Soc. Exped. BM 1964-250 ( BMNH) .
Etymology. The species name alludes to the holotype locality.
Remarks. The female specimen is only tentatively associated with the male. S. quoinensis resembles S. delicata but differs in having the pygofer ventral process uniformly and gradually tapering and the sternum of segment X specialised ( Fig. 144 View FIGURES 140 – 150 ).
