Pale ochraceous with green tinge, especially on tibiae and tarsi, (in life uniformly green). Abdominal sterna yellow. Muscle impressions on frontoclypeus sometimes pale brown.

Male genitalia. Pygofer dorsal margin sinuate, posterodorsally rounded, ventral margin concave medially, ventral process distally narrowed and pointed, exceeding dorsal margin of pygofer. Subgenital plate longer than broad, with numerous marginal long hair-like setae in distal half and two stout short macrosetae. Style S-shaped, without preapical lobe, posterior apex rounded with numerous rugae forming toothlike projections in lateral view. Connective Y-shaped, stem shorter than arms. Arms of ventral process of aedeagus running together, slightly curved dorsally in lateral view, each arm slightly narrowed near apex with crenulated margin and bluntly pointed; aedeagus membranous, shaft tubular in distal half, apex bifid, atrium well developed, gonopore apical. Segment X large, its ventral margin produced anteriorly into process with serrated margin. Anal style slightly longer than broad.

Female genitalia. Seventh sternite longer than wide, medially ridged, gradually narrowed posteriorly with posterior margin concave with rounded lateral margins. First and second pair of valvulae as in Figs 84–86 View FIGURES 80 – 90 .

Measurements. Male 6.3–6.4 mm long, 1.6–1.7 mm wide across eyes and 1.4–1.5 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum. Female 6.9–7.2 mm long, 1.7 mm wide across eyes and 1.5–1.6 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.

Material examined. INDIA: Holotype Ƌ, Mizoram: Lunglei , 20.xi.1982, C.S. Wesley, Coll. No. 8, here designated ( UASB) . Paratypes 1Ƌ, 2 ♀, data as in holotype except 18.xi.1981; 1 Ƌ, same data as holotype except 21.xi.1981, 1 Ƌ , same data as holotype except 22.xi.1981 ( UASB) .

Etymology. The species name alludes to the type locality.

Remarks. This species does not have any dark markings on the body. Both S. lunglei and S. takiyae have similar male genitalia, however, S. takiyae has dark markings on the crown and has the arms of the ventral process of the aedeagus divergent right from the base.
