Figs 37, 38 View FIGURES 31 – 46 , 61 View FIGURES 47 – 65 , 77 View FIGURES 66 – 79 , 169–175 View FIGURES 169 – 175 .

Ochraceous with facial carinae on upper part brownish, one spot behind ocelli adjacent to eyes on reflexed margin, one spot on either side of median line on face on anterior marginal carina, dark brown. Posterior half of pronotum and venation, pale brown.

Crown semicircular, smooth, slightly depressed and without median longitudinal carina. Frontoclypeus with median keel area on either side depressed before becoming convex again. Anterior half of pronotum strongly foveate, sublateral carinae prominent crossing fovea, posterior half rather flattish and coarsely punctate.

Male genitalia. Genital capsule poorly sclerotized and oblique. Tergum of segment IX very narrow with one pair of dorsoanterior apodemes. Pygofer lobe rounded with very few scattered fine hairlike setae, with ventral marginal short but narrow acuminate process having fine sparse spicules confined to ventral half of pygofer lobe in lateral view. Subgenital plates elongate, narrow, rather triangular, held vertically for most part, with five stout short prominent anteriorly recurved macrosetae on dorsal margin with a few short spinelike and longer hairlike setae. Style with apophysis fingerlike with prominent transverse rugae. Connective Y-shaped, articulated with aedeagus, stem longer than arms. Aedeagus membranous, with large apical gonopore, with short atrium, ventral process well developed, anterior stem shorter than arms, in lateral view arms bent almost at right angle at midlength, in ventral view divergent laterally in distal half, apices bluntly rounded. Segment X large, elongated with ventral process.

Measurements. Male 6.2 mm long, 1.6 mm wide across eyes and 1.3 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.

Material examined. VIETNAM: Holotype Ƌ, Fyan, 1200m, 11.vii–9.viii. (19)61, N.R. Spencer collector ( BPBM).

Remarks. This species can be readily recognised by the strongly anteriorly recurved row of macrosetae on the subgenital plates and by the arms of the aedeagal ventral process angularly bent at a right angle at midlength. Among the Oriental Signoretia , only this and S. yangi have the ventral process of the pygofer very short. In S. yangi , the ventral pygofer process is broad, whereas in S. similaris it is short, spiculate, spine-like and the aedeagi of these two species are entirely different.
