Genus Stenosemus von Middendorff, 1847 View in CoL

Type species. Chiton albus Linnaeus, 1767 , subsequently designated by Winckworth (1926).

Genus distribution and range. All oceans in cold and temperate waters and deep water in tropical regions, usually the species of the genus are found at temperatures no higher than 14ºC, intertidal to 4500 m, Miocene– Recent ( Dell Angelo et al. 2020).
