Comment: original vernacular name available (Art. 11.7.2): first used in latinized form by Heyne and Taschenberg (1907: 226, as Laparocerini ), generally accepted as in Alonso-Zarazaga and Lyal (1999: 160, as Laparocerini ).

Laparocerini Pierce, 1913: 421, in key [stem: Laparocer-]. Type genus: Laparocerus Schönherr, 1834. Comment: family-group name proposed as new without reference to Laparocerides Lacordaire, 1863.
