Frequent. Late Apr–Jul; Sep–Oct. If one chooses to recognize varieties, the material collected by the author would generally be referable to var. Lyonia ligustrina foliosiflora, the more common variety on the North Carolina Coastal Plain. Thornhill 417, 591, 911, 1526 (NCSC).
