Differential diagnosis
This species is very close to C. indica d’ Orchymont. It can be distinguished from C. indica by labrum basally darkened and testaceous apically, median lobe of aedeagus attenuated and very deeply emarginated apically, flanked by heavily chitinised endosclerites partly overlapping the lobe, without a flagellum arising out of the middle of anterior margin ( Figure 6d View Figure 6 ). But the shape of the aedeagus is the ‘only certain distinguishing character’ ( Hebauer 1995: 8).
Distribution
Widely distributed from south-eastern Asia through Vietnam to India ( Hansen 1999) and China. First record for China ( Figure 7 View Figure 7 ).
