Lectotype (Wen & Reveal in Taxon 41: 73. 1992): Herb. Clifford: 113, Aralia 1 (BM-000558451) .

Current name: Aralia spinosa L. View in CoL View at ENA ( Araliaceae ).

Note: Although Wijnands (Bot. Commelins: 47. 1983) treated material in the Clifford herbarium as the lectotype, it is not clear which of the several specimens there he intended. As they are evidently not part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
